Holiday Shopping Guide: That Boy

Welcome to the last installment of my holiday gift guide. This was kind of a spur of the moment project which I plan to attack with more planning next year but I hoped you enjoyed it!

When it comes to holiday shopping, every girls wants to infuse the guys in their life with a little style. Whether it's you dad, brother, husband, or boyfriend they could (almost) all use a bit of help. With Forever 21, Topman, H&M, and ASOS all carrying fast fashion for guys there is no reason not to try out something new.

Holiday Shopping Guide: The Darling

13 days till Christmas. In theory, most of the shopping should be done, but reality may be much different. In any case, here is the first of a few mini gift guides I have put together to help you find that final perfect gift for one of the many people on your list.

***

First up, the Darling.
The Darling is the girl who doesn't mind overdressing if it means she get's to wear her favorite dress. Wants ever part of her life, down to the smallest detail, to be beautiful. Bows, feathers, and lace are a prerequisite.

Spooky Part 2

Had a little too much fun with my Halloween look...

Yes I'm crazy. I know.
But I love it :)

Tis the Season

Ok so maybe it's a little early for me to get excited, but I really love the holidays. :) I mean Halloween is right around the corner! To me nothing is better than dressing up and getting cozy with family and friends...not to mention all of the yummy food.

So in my building excitement for all things festive, I am eagerly anticipating the annual Victoria's Secret holiday fashion show. Ever since I was a little girl I've dreamed of what it would be like to don my own pair of angel wings and take a turn down the glittery runway. Here are a few of my favorite looks from years past to get you in the spirit. :)

Festive

I feel so behind in everything! Blogging, commenting back, homework, cleaning. Anyways, I meant to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and all that jazz yesterday but it just didn't work out.

Anywhoo....

Merry Day-After-Christmas-Sales!! Another good reason to celebrate right? I'm hoping to hit up Urban Outfitters for their 50% off already on sale items. :) Good luck you little bargain hunters!

Not the best picture quality but I got new shoes!

Deena and Ozzy Marion Booties :)

(*I think I fixed the invalid link? )

I'm off to study like a madwoman so I can get back to writing quality posts.

As the world spins madly on...

Dress: unknown
Tights: cvs
Legwarmers: dance store
Boots: Ralph Lauren
Necklace: Unique LA
Watch: vintage, my Grandma's

(Being attacked by the trees)

Last Friday my family went out to dinner and to Disneyland as a belated birthday celebration. Due to the crowds we ended up walking around Downtown Disney and checking out the decorations at the Grand California Hotel. We finally got into the park in time to see the massive fireworks display and lights before heading out.
Now, this outfit started out topped with my big knit sweater, but being a typical California winter it was 70 degrees out that night so I didn't need it for long. Oh and the dress! A total score, my mom found it for $9.99 while buying costumes for my studio. :)

Unique LA

This past weekend two of my friends and I traveled up to the fashion district to attend the Unique LA Holiday Show, a showcase for indie designers. SO much fun and so many unique booths, plus I got a ton of Christmas shopping done. We got stopped and photographed by some lovely ladies covering street style for Japanese fashion magazine JJ, which was a super fun surprise.
On the way back we went down Santee Alley and I was able to score an awesome skirt to complete my Lady Gaga concert outfit. :)

My outfit
Top: Target
Sweater: Urban Outfitters
Skirt: Tara Jarmont for Target
Belt and Necklace: stolen from Mom :)
Tights: CVS
Boots: Ralph Lauren

Sonia Rykiel pour H&M

From the moment I first heard about the Sonia Rykiel and H&M collaboration I got veryyy excited. Now seeing the images, it is more wonderful than I could even imagine. On top of that, this is one of the most reasonably priced of the H&M designer collabs with most of the pieces running at $10-$35 for underwear and $30-$80 for clothing. It opens this weekend, Saturday Dec. 5th to be exact, in 1500 stores nationwide.
Now, I have never been to the opening of one of these collections but I've definitely seen pictures and heard about the lines. My sister agreed to take me Saturday but I have no idea what to expect! If you have any advice PLEASE leave a comment with your recommendations. It's my mission to get my hands on a few pieces!

Lastly, I am thankful for each and every one of you who follow and comment on this blog.
It means the world to me to know that I'm not just talking to myself. :)

I meant to write this yesterday but I was a bit distracted by the festivities. We always do Thanksgiving at home and my grandma comes over. As per usual, the day was filled with cooking, eating, and Macy's Parade watching. On TV of course. Made me me homesick for the city and I've never even lived there.
Anyways, I hope everyone has a lovely holiday weekend!
