What's up DOC?

HI! 

I literally feel like I fell into a crack in the blogosphere. I had a trip to Houston for dance which was crazy, stressful, amazing, and magical. 

 Anyways, these last few days I have embraced my  inner shopoholic...retail therapy at it's finest. Usually I'm a big culprit for buyers remorse, but when the sale is on sale, I don't hold back. Even though it is fall I can still get away with wearing an open side tank in California. I am craving cold weather! 

I'm most excited about my new Docs...I inherited them from a friend who no longer wears them and I am obsessed!

Not even a 6:45 AM flight will deter from my excitement...10 days in New York seems like a dream! My mom and I are staying at the Waldorf Astoria thanks to the discount I get for attending my dance intensive. 

For all you LUCKY city dwellers I'd love some suggestions of things to do in my downtime!

My to do list already includes a visit to the Chelsea Flea Market, the Mcqueen exhibit at the Met, classes at Steps and BDC, and hopefully a musical or two, but I need more. I got all the touristy things out of the way when I went two years ago, so I'm looking to explore and try new things. :)

In Memory

It's been an odd month for my family.
August brought the loss of my grandpa, on my father's side. At 101 he had lived a long full life but it was, of course, hard to see him go.
Fast forward to yesterday.
Another late night phonecall brought the news of my grandmother's passing. This time it was my mom's mother. It was completely out of the blue. The finality hits like a fist and makes everything harder to comprehend.

Paradise

Finally uploaded all the photos from my graduation trip to Hawaii. It was the first trip my sister and I have taken together without our parents it ended up being an incredibly amazing experience. I seriously cannot wait to go back someday.

It's taken a lot of hard work and late nights, but every moment was worth it. We started out with 17 items and are already down to 15, so check it out as soon as you can. Depending on hoe quickly things go, there will be an update of new pieces in a week or so.

I can't believe it is actually here.
Today Style Phenomenon turns 1!
I have many emotions about this day...excited and amazed I've stuck with it this long, thankful for every single follower and commenter that I encounter, blessed for all the other lovely bloggers out there. This is seriously an awesome community to be a part of.
I feel like a veteran now, as silly as it sounds, but in the internet world things come and go so fast that a year seems like an eternity. Here's to many more months of my ramblings, musings, and endless wishing.
