Black Swan

I know I am not alone in saying I am seriously excited to the movie Black Swan. There are so many reasons for it to be amazing...

1) Natalie Portman is awesome in basically anything she does.
2) Both Natalie and Mina Kunis trained for months in order to do almost all of their own dancing in the film.
3)Costumes by Rodarte. That fact alone is enough.
4) It's dark. No bubblegum princess-y ballerinas here.

Not to mention, the posters alone and total pieces of art.

If you haven't seen the preview yet, watch it here.

If you have seen the movie, what did you think!?
I'm hoping it will be released in more theaters over the next few weeks, otherwise I will be planning a special day trip to LA just to see it.

Crash Boom Bang

Following my dear laptop crash at the end of summer, I've been sharing our old family desktop with my mom. This last week it decided to give out, refusing to connect to the internet and showing the "blue screen of death" over and over. My dad seems to have gotten the internet back (time to cram for my online classes) but the old machine is still rather unreliable. If all goes well I'll be back to a more regular posting schedule within the week...fingers crossed for a new computer ASAP.

P.S. I saw New Moon last night. :D In my opinion it was definitely a step up from the first movie.

An Education

Wahh this week I have not posted as often as I'd like. I've been going up to LA for the last few afternoons to watch Golden West, a big Southern California figure skating competition which I would have participated in if it weren't for my injury. oh well :/ next year...

But last night I had the opportunity to go see the movie Paper Heart with my sister. If it is playing in your area GO SEE IT! One of the cutest movies I have seen in a long, long time, but be prepared to feel lonely and wish you were in love by the end.

Anyways, continuing in the indie movie theme - my favorite :) - I saw a preview for a new movie called An Education. It takes place in 60's London and Paris and just from the glimpses I saw in the preview, it looks like it will have some really inspiring fashion.

What happens when you fall in love?

Tonight I saw 500 Days of Summer with my sister and I loved it. Seriously. Probably the best movie I've seen all summer. It was so real and lovely and heartbreaking all at the same time. Plus the added fact that Zooey Deschanel has amazing style and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is adorable didn't hurt either.

Also, I really want to see the movie Adam staring Hugh Dancy as a man living in New York City that has Asperger's Syndrome and falls in love with his neighbor.

I'm wiped out tonight but tomorrow, definitely an outfit post. :)
